Andalucía and the Costa Del Sol provides a wealth of scenic landscapes that are best enjoyed on foot. Indeed,

wandering up any track towards a mountain can be sufficient a stroll for those who want sea views and fresh

Andalucían air.

If you are searching for a good spot for a pick—nick, visit one of the parks that are provided by the municipality

for the use of the community. These are generally located in areas of natural beauty and have bar-be-cue

facilities as well as play areas for children.

Serious hikers will enjoy the challenges to be had in any of Andalucía’s mountainous areas. A favourite spot for

walkers close to Marbella is Refugio de Juanar, located on the main Marbella to Coin road.

Visitors can stroll through olive groves, to a view point from which the African coast and Atlas Mountains can be

seen. Those who want to feel on top of the world can scale to the very peak of La Concha, the mountain which

provides Marbella’s famous backdrop. Many of the areas white villages can be reached by following one of the

marked footpaths that crisscross the countryside.
